Installing Varwin XRMS on Linux
Since version 17 Varwin has full support for all Debian-based Linux distributions
Supported distributions
Debian — an operating system consisting of free and open source software. Debian GNU/Linux is currently one of the most popular and important GNU/Linux distributions, and in its primary form has had a significant influence on the development of this type of OS in general.
Ubuntu — is the most popular Debian-based desktop Linux distribution, and for good reason. It offers a friendly graphical user interface and has the most extensive driver support.
Mint — is a distribution designed to be complete out-of-the-box, even more so than Ubuntu on which it is based.
Astra Linux SE — is a certified operating system based on the Linux kernel. It has built-in information protection tools for stable and secure operation of IT infrastructures of any scale. Astra Linux also includes information processing tools of various confidentiality levels.
Astra Linux Common Edition OS available for individuals is currently out of date, does not receive updates and is not licensed for use by legal entities. To use Varwin it is necessary to use Astra Linux Special Edition
Preparing for installation
In order for Varwin to work correctly on Linux, there are a few things you need to do:

Optional for Varwin installation on Astra Linux
You need to add a repository to the extended package manager if it has not already been added. See the documentation for details
After installing the OS and installing the graphics drivers on it, you can proceed to install Varwin, after which Varwin can already be used and run projects either in desktop mode or on a mobile headset
