You must calibrate the headset before running a desktop VR project, otherwise you will experience incorrect image display when running Monado and the VR project

You must calibrate the headset each time you reconnect base stations

  1. Install the base stations diagonally in opposite corners of the room and position them so that the faceplates face towards the centre of the play area
  2. Connect the power cables to the base stations, and then plug each power supply into a wall outlet to switch them on, wait until the status lights turn green
  3. Place the headset between base stations
  4. Open Terminal
  5. Execute the command

    survive-cli --force-calibrate
    CODE

Before running this command, enter the command to terminate Monado processes if you have run it before and want to recalibrate the headset

    rm /run/user/1000/monado_comp_ipc
    CODE
  6. The calibration process may continue indefinitely, so wait 30 seconds and press Ctrl + C to finish calibration

If during the calibration process red lines appear in the terminal window to notify you of an error, do not be alarmed, they may be

  7. Next, install Monado and check if the above location on the stage is correct. If not, repeat the process from step 5, having previously completed the Monado process
