Installation

  1. Download the VarwinVive mobile client to your computer

  2. Connect the headset to your computer using a USB cable Type-C - Type-C or Type-C - Type-A where Type-C connects to the headset

  3. In the window that appears, select File Transfer

  4. Go back to your PC and open the folder in Explorer

    This PC\Vive Focus\Internal Drive\Download

    and transfer the downloaded mobile client (APK file) to it

  5. Install the mobile client:

    1. Allow installation of an application from unknown sources by going to Settings - Advanced Settings - Security - Allow installation of applications from unknown sources
    2. Put on the headset and go to the section Library > On my device and run File Manager
    3. Inside this application, navigate to the folder Download, find the previously added APK file VarwinViveClient.apk and run it, it will start the installation
    4. Wait for the installation to complete
    5. Go to the section Library > On my device and run Varwin
    1. Go to Settings - Additionally. Turn on USB debugging and allow Installing unknown applications
    2. Put on the headset and go to the section Settings > Memory and open Explorer
    3. Inside Explorer, navigate to the folder Downloads, find the previously added APK file VarwinViveClient.apk and run it, it will start the installation
    4. Wait for the installation to complete
    5. Go to Catalog and run Varwin
    1. Go to the SideQuest website and download SideQuest Advanced Installer by selecting the appropriate OS
    2. Install the downloaded software by following the installer prompts
    3. Connect the headset with a USB cable to your computer and start SideQuest. You will see a message that you need to allow access to the headset's file system
    4. Put on the headset and select File Transfer in the window that appears

    5. Allow installation of the application from unknown sources:

      • For Vive Focus and Vive Focus Plus, go to Settings - Security - Allow installation of apps from unknown sources

      • Vive Focus 3 go to Settings - Advanced - Install unknown apps

    6. Remove the headset, in the SideQuest window, click on the APK file download button and select the APK file you downloaded earlier

    7. Wait for the installation to complete, put on the headset, and go to:

      • For Vive Focus and Vive Focus Plus, Library - On My Device and launch the Varwin app

      • for Vive Focus 3 Catalog and launch the Varwin app
